- State license: Food business operators require to obtain an FSSAI state license which operates in SMEs, accommodation services, transporters, retailers, merchants, publishers, etc. The state government issues a state license, and FBOs only have to operate in one state to obtain a state license.
- Basic registration: Food business operators who are involved in small food businesses and small businesses, accommodation units, transporters, retailers, traders, publishers, etc. are required to obtain FSSAI registration issued by the state government.

The procedure for Food License Registration in Rajasthan
To apply for FSSAI registration or license in Rajasthan, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the official website of the FSSAI Licensing and Registration System in Rajasthan.
Step 2: Press the “Request License/Registration Now” option available on the homepage of the portal.
Step 3: On the next page, select the state for which the license is to be applied for from the drop-down list.
Step 4: Now the applicant has to select the appropriate answer to the question “Yes or No” regarding the branch of the company operating in more than 1 state.
Step 5: Select all types of businesses located in one location for which a license is to be applied for.
Step 6: Check capacity or turnover to determine category eligibility for each type of business selected and click “Continue”.
Step 7: After clicking the Continue button, the current page will be redirected to another page where you need to select a link named “Click Here to Apply”.
Step 8: Now the declaration page will open where click on the “Accept” button.
Step 9: The application form will appear on the screen, fill the form with the necessary details and upload the required documents.
Step 10: After submitting the online form, the applicant has to initiate the payment to complete the process.
Step 11: A reference number will be generated after successful payment.

Renewal of FSSAI Food License
Each FSSAI license is valid for a minimum period of 1 year and a maximum period of 5 years. Every food business needs to renew its license. Food business operators must apply for the renewal of a food license on either Form A or Form B within 30 days after the permit expires. If the FSSAI renewal application is submitted after the expiry date, it is subject to a late fee of Rs.100 for each day of delay.
It is possible to apply for the renewal of a food license already 180 days before the expiry date. In the event of the termination of the food license, the Operator of the food business should compulsorily terminate all business activities in the establishment.
