They participate in the following activities to improve their industry:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organizing trade fairs in India and abroad, buyer-dealer meetings, and passing live requests and tenders from unfamiliar clients to domestic exporters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Handholding new exporters and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">business<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> people for all commodity-related systems and documentation, as well as propelling them to begin trades by providing item information<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Existing exporters can get guidance and assistance if their discounts are stuck or they are experiencing other difficulties.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They act as a liaison between the trading community and the government.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They keep exporters up to date on the most recent changes in procedures and warnings from the DGFT, Customs, Ministry of Shipping, RBI, and so on.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FIEO, APEDA, CHEMEXCIL, PHARMEXCIL, TEA BOARD, SPICES BOARD, EEPC, and others are examples of Export Promotion Councils. Each EPC is responsible for sending out advancements in a specific area. For example, APEDA is in charge of agricultural products, CHEMEXCIL is in charge of chemicals, and PHARMEXCIL is in charge of pharmaceuticals.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"Need\"><b>Need of RCMC<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RCMC is required for the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RCMC is one of the mandatory documents required when claiming export incentives and subsidies under schemes such as MEIS, RoSCTL, RoDTEP, SEIS, Advance License, EPCG, and so on.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To obtain a Letter of Undertaking (LUT) under GST for the duty-free export of goods.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Merchant Exporters can purchase goods for export from the manufacturer at 0.1 percent GST instead of the regular GST rate. This service is only available to merchant exporters who have an RCMC Certificate.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"Is\"><b>Is RCMC required for export?\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RCMC is not required for the trade. Nobody will delay your shipment if you do not have an RCMC Certificate (with the exemption of certain items). Regardless, with all of the advantages associated with an RCMC Certificate; it turns out to be practically obligatory to hold an RCMC for trade. For the export of certain products, an RCMC with their respective EPCs is required; a list of all such products is provided below:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agricultural Products &#8211; Export Development Authority for Agricultural and Processed Food Products (APEDA)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Marine Products Export Development Authority promotes the export of marine products (MPEDA)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coffee Products-Indian Coffee Board<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tea &#8211; Indian Tea Board<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spices Board of India &#8211; Spice Products<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leather Products &#8211; Leather Export Council.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jute Board of India produces jute products.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Silk Board of India Silk Products<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coconut Products &#8211; Indian Coconut Board<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coir Board of India &#8211; Coir Products<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rubber Board of India &#8211; Rubber Products<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tobacco Products &#8211; India Tobacco Board<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result, RCMC is not required for products not listed above. However, if you are serious about your export business, we recommend that you obtain an RCMC Certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"benefit\"><b>The benefit of RCMC Registration<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aside from the benefits discussed above, there is another significant benefit to obtaining an RCMC Certificate, and that is:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The advantage of the Market Development Assistance (MDA) and Market Access Initiative (MAI) schemes &#8211; Under these plans, an exporter can receive endowments and financial assistance for commodity advancement activities such as participation in shows abroad\/exchange fairs\/business designations\/purchaser merchant meets coordinated by a separate EPC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Appropriations could include repayment of flight fees, concessions on stall fees, and so on. To be eligible for this benefit, an exporter must have held an RCMC declaration for at least one year.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Register\"><b>Register for the New RCMC Portal in DGFT Online\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following is the procedure for RCMC Online Registration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>To access the Foreign Trade (DGFT) portal, you will need the following<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Connection to a secure Internet network<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enter a valid ID and password.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The steps to apply for RCMC on the DGFT website are as follows<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To access the system, go to the DGFT website and log in by entering your user ID, password, and captcha, then clicking the Login button.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The home page will be displayed after a successful login, along with basic dashboard details such as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/legalwindow.in\/import-export-iec-registration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IEC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Number, Valid, IEC Status, Authorizations Issued, and so on. FYA Notifications will appear in the left pane of the screen.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Registration-cum-Membership Certificates (RCMC) are issued by DGFT<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The applicant will register as an Importer\/Exporter on the DGFT website at https:\/\/www.dgft.gov.in to gain access to the Common Digital Platform. The steps for obtaining the RCMC from the DGFT website are outlined below.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visit <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dgft.gov.in\/CP\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.dgft.gov.in\/CP\/<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the Login button in the top right corner of the page.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After entering your Username, click the Login button.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CAPTCHA Code and Password<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select Services &gt; e-RCMC &gt; e-RCMC Application.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will be redirected to a new screen. If you want to continue working on your Draft Application, select and click Continue with Existing Application.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Dashboard will be displayed, complete with a username and basic information.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The system will request a declaration of whether or not the applicant&#8217;s profile has been updated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To confirm that your profile has been updated, select the radio button, then Save &amp; Next.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The applicant would now fill out the RCMC Details section.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the drop-down menus, select Export Promotion Council \/ Commodity Board and Fee Details.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To save the data, select Export Service or Product, and then add.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click Add Details to save the Department Heads \/ Authorized Representatives \/ Contact Persons for the Councils.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select the desired countries to which your company exports under the Other Information section and click the Save &amp; Next button.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After you have completed all of the required details, you can proceed to the Attachment Section, where you can attach documents from your Computer folder.
